Our Peer Review Process

Ensuring the quality and integrity of published research

Commitment to Rigorous Peer Review

All manuscripts submitted to International Journal of Technology & Emerging Research undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the highest standards of scientific quality, originality, and ethical conduct. Our commitment to thorough and fair peer review is fundamental to the integrity of the scholarly record.

We utilize a **double-blind peer review** model, where both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process. This fosters objective evaluation and minimizes potential bias.

Steps in the Peer Review Process
  1. Initial Editorial Assessment
Upon submission, the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Section Editor performs an initial check for scope, originality, adherence to author guidelines, and basic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these initial criteria may be rejected at this stage without external review.
  2. Plagiarism Check
All submitted manuscripts are subjected to a rigorous plagiarism check using specialized software to ensure originality.
  3. Assignment to Reviewers
If the manuscript passes the initial assessment, it is sent to a minimum of two independent, expert reviewers who possess relevant knowledge in the field. Reviewers are carefully selected based on their expertise, reputation, and lack of conflicts of interest.
  4. Conducting the Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for scientific merit, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, relevance to the journal's scope, originality, and adherence to ethical guidelines. They provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their work.
  5. Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief, with the help of the Section Editor, makes a decision based on the reviewers' recommendations. Possible decisions include:
    • Accept (Rarely without minor revisions)
    • Minor Revisions
    • Major Revisions
    • Reject
  6. Author Revision (if applicable)
If revisions are requested, authors are given a specific timeframe to revise their manuscript and provide a point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation.
  7. Final Decision and Publication
Once the manuscript meets the journal's standards, a final acceptance decision is made. The article then proceeds to production and eventual publication.
